This summer, the campus registrars have a message for staff: “Get on your bike”.

Wellington campus registrar Deanna Riach is encouraging staff to embrace the joy of cycling in advance of the Aotearoa Bike Challenge, which runs throughout February and will see the three campuses compete.

The challenge involves workplaces throughout New Zealand competing on national and local leaderboards to see which can get the most workmates to enjoy a bike ride during the month.

All Massey campuses will take part in the challenge for the first time in 2017. The teams from each campus will compete in the challenge as well as against each other, with the campus with the highest percentage of staff partaking crowned the inaugural Massey winner.

Two options for Wellington staff.

It's been a bit wet and windy recently, and we know that not everyone has a bike, or maybe the confidence to ride our narrow streets. So in addition to the Aotearoa Cycle Challenge, we are also offering a Wellington Cycle Challenge, in partnership with Massey University Gym (sorry, no trip to Croatia or Vancouver - but there are still Tussock Vouchers up for grabs!).
